Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances, Farragut Yard has had to withdraw from our exhibition.

Also, due to a lack of available volunteers, The Lea Bailey Light Railway stand will not be attending although there will be some leaflets available.

Exhibitor details have been emailed out or posted to those without email.  Please contact us if you have not received these details.

With only a few weeks to go we are still trying to get the final layout details sorted.  Unfortunately Martyn will not be bringing his West Gwynedd Railway layout to the show, as it is not working to his personal satisfaction.  However, he will be there with a display of part built coaches and other devices produced using a computer.

The exhibition will be split between the two extremes of Tewkesbury School; at one end (near the main car park) is the Sixth Form Block and the Cafe and at the other end is the Gym and Drama Hall.  A programme is being prepared with layout details and a plan of where to find the exhibits to make sure that you don’t miss anything.

Tuesday 8th August 2017

We are getting close to finalising the layouts for the exhibition and seeing what we can fit in.  Unfortunately Brandgeight is no longer able to attend so has been removed from the list.

Check back towards the end of August when we hope to have all the details finalised.

The web site has been updated with more layout details, a new Society page and a couple more traders.  The organiser, Nicolas Wheatley has found a local artist to replace Fred Lea, Rob Rowland who has a stand at this weekend’s Bristol Model Railway Show.

Exhibition organiser, Nicolas Wheatley reports:

“I am saddened to have to pass on the news that Fred Lea, railway artist and a member of the M5-M50 NGM, died aged 71 on Boxing Day. He died from a liver problem, which was causing heart problems for which he had been awaiting major surgery.

I have been informed by one of his sons that the funeral will take place at 2.30pm on Thursday 12 January 2017.  Please contact me through the ‘Contact’ page if you want further details of Fred’s funeral.

I had invited Fred to display some of his art work at our exhibition in Tewkesbury in October, but now I will invite another artist, Rob Rowland GRA, who is based in Gloucester. Fred’s sons have committed themselves to completing an 009 layout that Fred had started, but apparently it will not be ready in time for the show in October. However, I have invited them to bring it to the next show and they have accepted.”
