The gallery page has been updated with photos from member Steve Matthews who managed to tour the show in between steward duties. I have added captions as best I could and accept full responsibility for getting them wrong as there were a few pictures that I could not place!

A very big thank you to all the exhibitors, traders, societies, helpers and public who made yesterday so enjoyable.
We learnt a lot about the venue and its short-comings (like the toilets and disabled parking) and fortunately it was a nice day so the walk between halls was very pleasant! I lost track of how many times I did it but it did mean that I could enjoy the breakfast roll and hot lunch without feeling too guilty.
General feedback from the exhibitors was positive and we had some very constructive feedback from the visitors which we need to reflect on if we continue with this venue.
Once again, a very big thank you to everyone.

Unfortunately Simon Andrews has had to withdraw Badger’s Bottom and The Orchard Line at very short notice. The good news is the Christopher Payne (who was going to help Simon) is able to bring one of his excellent layouts which just happens to be the same size! What a hero – I’d like to say which layout but our organiser can’t remember.
Hope to see as many of you tomorrow as possible.
Thursday 5th October 2017
It looks likely that Hobbiton End will be unable to attend due to a family emergency. We send our best wishes to Simon and hope that everything turns out well. Hobbiton End has now joint the list of layouts for the next show.
Saturday 30th September 2017
Just 1 week to go and the final preparations are making progress! The programme has been finalised and sent for printing. A pdf copy is available to download from the downloads page.
We hope that everyone from exhibitor to visitor enjoys them selves on the day.
Friday 8th September 2017
Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances, Farragut Yard has had to withdraw from our exhibition.
Also, due to a lack of available volunteers, The Lea Bailey Light Railway stand will not be attending although there will be some leaflets available.
Tuesday 5th September 2017
Exhibitor details have been emailed out or posted to those without email. Please contact us if you have not received these details.
Friday 25th August 2017
With only a few weeks to go we are still trying to get the final layout details sorted. Unfortunately Martyn will not be bringing his West Gwynedd Railway layout to the show, as it is not working to his personal satisfaction. However, he will be there with a display of part built coaches and other devices produced using a computer.
The exhibition will be split between the two extremes of Tewkesbury School; at one end (near the main car park) is the Sixth Form Block and the Cafe and at the other end is the Gym and Drama Hall. A programme is being prepared with layout details and a plan of where to find the exhibits to make sure that you don’t miss anything.
Tuesday 8th August 2017
We are getting close to finalising the layouts for the exhibition and seeing what we can fit in. Unfortunately Brandgeight is no longer able to attend so has been removed from the list.
Check back towards the end of August when we hope to have all the details finalised.

It is with regret that we announce that Pendukemodels has withdrawn from the show as the owner has retired due to ill health. We wish him all the best for the future.

The web site has been updated with more layout details, a new Society page and a couple more traders. The organiser, Nicolas Wheatley has found a local artist to replace Fred Lea, Rob Rowland who has a stand at this weekend’s Bristol Model Railway Show.

At last we can reveal some more of the layouts that have agreed to appear at Narrow Gauge Tewkesbury. Check the Layout page which should be updated soon with links to additional details.
Friday 30th December 2016
Exhibition organiser, Nicolas Wheatley reports:
“I am saddened to have to pass on the news that Fred Lea, railway artist and a member of the M5-M50 NGM, died aged 71 on Boxing Day. He died from a liver problem, which was causing heart problems for which he had been awaiting major surgery.
I have been informed by one of his sons that the funeral will take place at 2.30pm on Thursday 12 January 2017. Please contact me through the ‘Contact’ page if you want further details of Fred’s funeral.
I had invited Fred to display some of his art work at our exhibition in Tewkesbury in October, but now I will invite another artist, Rob Rowland GRA, who is based in Gloucester. Fred’s sons have committed themselves to completing an 009 layout that Fred had started, but apparently it will not be ready in time for the show in October. However, I have invited them to bring it to the next show and they have accepted.”
Wednesday 24th August 2016

Two more traders added to the Traders page. Scenic specialist Pendukemodels and small tools specialist Amberly Services. Amberly Services don’t have a web site so I have added a link to their details on the UK Model Shops web site. Please note that they are cash sales only and are unable to accept cards – so bring lots of cash!
